Audis Conference 2011
September 12th, Southampton

"Signal Processing and Audiology - From Front-end to Perception"

The aim of the conference is to stimulate interaction between audiology and signal processing researchers in order to exchange ideas
from audiology and signal processing for the development of future hearing aids (HA) and cochlear implants (CI). Multidisciplinary
topics related to research in hearing, signal processing for hearing prosthesis, perception and neuroscience are welcomed.

What makes this conference unique is that the plenary talks will follow the signal processing path from the front-end of a hearing
prosthesis to the auditory system. The day will be opened by a brief insight into the latest trends and requests of the hearing prostheses
industry and/or the clinic in device development.

This conference is organized within the framework of the AUDIS Program. Selected work of the AUDIS members will be presented at the
conference as well. On our main page you can find more information on the different projects covered within this framework.

We welcome speakers to present their latest research on the above mentioned topics. The contribution has to fit in the presented plenary
talk structure (signal processing path from the front-end of a hearing prosthesis to the auditory system). Accepted submissions on related
scientific topics that not directly fit in the plenary talk structure can be presented in an accompanying poster session.
Real-time demonstrations are welcomed as well!!
