Modeling electrically evoked compound action potential responses
An existing MATLAB implementation of a model simulation for auditory nerve responses to electrical pulse train stimulation should be expanded to accommodate modulated pulse train stimuli. The model should then be compared to data from animal experiments (literature) and used to propose possible experiments with human subjects. The mini project provides the opportunity to study neurophysiological aspects of cochlear implants, integrate measurements obtained in implanted patients with functional models of electrical stimulation and perform work on tools and methods for optimization of coding strategies for implantable auditory prostheses.
